Tuesday Night Rehearsals
Just like in Brazil, SambaLá rehearses every week up until the carnaval. You can join in the fun at the Artesia DES Hall in Artesia for:
- Tuesday Dance Class: 7-9 pm
- Tuesday Drum Rehearsals: 7-9 pm

August, 2006(Sunday): Malibu Fundraiser Party:
Date to be announced
Beach and Brazilian BBQ on the loveliest beach in Malibu. Join as SambaLá member and get into the carnaval with a VIP pass. All membership fees go towards expenses for the carnaval.

September 2, 2006 (Saturday): New Song Launched, Princess of the Bateria Contest
The biggest monthly samba show in the country every first Saturday of the month at the Blue Cafe in downtown Long Beach. September 3 will be a special carnaval preparation party you don't want to miss!
This year we have the presentation of this carnaval's song, and a samba dance contest for the Princess of SambaLa and Carnaval!

September 3 & 10, 2006 (Sundays): Technical Rehearsals
The samba schools takes its dancers and drummers to the parade site to practice parading the two Sundays before the parade. This year's parade is on the Promenade Northing starting at 5th Street (Walmart) and ending at 3rd.
