Children - The Future of All Nations
This year's theme is one that is very close to SambaLa: Children. In the last few years, many children have been born into the SambaLa family and they truly are the future of our group. Yet, they represent the future of much more.
Our Theme in Practice
This year's theme is carried out by the following activities:
- A portion of all proceeds to the event to to help children's charitys around the world
- SambaLa is working with children to create a special block in the parade
- SambaLa Bahia instructor Pedro will be presenting a children's group of drummers
- Campbell Hall High School Bateria will be presenting
Enredo - Theme Statement
We don't live forever and children are humanity's continuation into the future. Even though most all of us alive today will not see the 22nd century, many of our children born in the next 10 years will. Yet, the world popuplation is starting to reach the limit of the capacity of the earth, and the future of our children hinges on our ability to leave them a sustainable, healthy, and optimistic future.
This future for our children is shared between all the countries on earth. Our children's future all depends on what each one of use and each of the countries of the world does to insure the survival of humanity on this beautiful blue, green, and white ball we call home.
Children, the future of all nations and our nations must work together for the future of all generations in the 21st century.
