Thatiana is the current "Rainha da Bateria" (Queen of the Perucssion) of Mocidade Independente of Padre Miguel in Rio de Janeiro. Mocidade is one of the elete 12 top samba schools in Rio de Janeiro and the position of Rainha is the top spot for samba dancers in Brazil.
Learn from someone who has reached this position and what it takes to get there. Learn the moves that get you noticed during a parade or show. Learn how the "fill-in" moves between your samba dance. And learn first-hand the journey taken by Thatiana on her road to one of the most coveted samba dancing positions in all of Brazil.
